I'm so happy you are here. On the blog, you'll find inspiration for your event or learn about new calligraphy tools and supplies. There is always something new to uncover when you are putting pen to paper.
Website, Instagram, Facebook, Oh my! So many places to show pictures of your work. When I planned my first branding shoot, I knew I wanted professional photos to showcase my work not only on my website but on all social media channels.
I knew instantly that I wanted Gaby Pineda to shoot my branding photos. She is fun, energetic and being that it was my first time in a “professional” setting I knew she would help bring my true personality out. Before the shoot even occurred, Gaby had me print out pictures that represented my brand. This helped both of us to know the direction we wanted to go and to be honest it was something I needed to do for my business in general. Calligraphy adds such a romantic and elegant touch to any event and I want my brand to represent those feelings.
Here are the questions I asked myself before the shoot.
For my photoshoot, I knew I needed photos of myself. I know what you are thinking. I feel the same way, I don’t like taking or posting pictures of myself either. As a small business owner, people need to see me as the person behind the brand or pen. I wanted to be able to connect with my audience and my customers and there is no better way to do this then with a picture of my smiling face. Since I can be a bit awkward, I took my sister to help make me laugh and feel comfortable. Nothing like a sister to help bring that genuine smile out of ya!
For my branding shoot, I rented out the Pink Pineapple Studio and fell in love with it. The room was full of light, spacious and there were so many props to use. I mean .. look at this pink velvet couch! It was definitely the bohemian set up of my dreams.
Overall, I couldn’t be more happier with my photos! Now I’m busy planning my second one. If you like anything you’ve seen me do through these pictures or have questions about my process or tools, reach out and send me a message! Let’s be friends and make some magic together!
