I'm so happy you are here. On the blog, you'll find inspiration for your event or learn about new calligraphy tools and supplies. There is always something new to uncover when you are putting pen to paper.
There is just something about those thick and thin lines you get from calligraphy that help bring a timeless feel to your wedding. The delicate details in each letter makes everyone feel giddy and romantic. I’m giving you 7 creative ways to stand out from the crowd and have your wedding be one they will remember for a lifetime.
Your guests are sure to feel welcomed with a big wooden sign to greet them as soon as they arrive. A wooden sign can greet them at both the chapel and the reception and can either be on an easel or on a table top.
Once your guests arrive at their tables for the reception, why not have your place cards be ribbon adorned with calligraphy. Sure you could use a folded paper place card, but why not have your guests goo and agh over their names written on ribbon. You could tie it on a piece of fruit or lay across the plate; either way you style it, you are sure to make your guests feel oh so special.
I love a well decorated table. Who doesn’t? Add in a vellum calligraphy table runner and your head table or wedding tables instantly become magical. You could write the lyrics to your wedding song, your vows or even a favorite poem. The possibilities on this one are skies the limit.
An elegant calligraphy menu is a great way to let your guests know what is on the menu. You can add in your wedding colors using a matching ink color or even add a wax seal to top it off.
You’ve decided on the perfect words to express your love and say your “I Do’s”, why not have them written in the perfect book! You can opt for a his and hers or a single one if you are using more traditional vows.
A calligraphy banner can be used in so many ways at your wedding and can range from bible versus, to a love song to a song lyric. Scout out your wedding venue and look for unique ways to highlight the architecture or special design. A banner can even bring so much life to a cake table display as shown below. This is definitely one way to have fun and bring your personality to life.
When you are ready to end the night you’ve been dreaming about, give your guests rice, flower petals or lavender seeds wrapped delicately in paper cones written in calligraphy. These paper cones are also easy to make for those looking for a DIY project.
